Safe learning environment for first responders and firefighters

1–6 June 2026
Outdoor Area | Stand D64

Teams from Austria, Poland, the USA, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, France, Romania, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, Chile, Canada, Brazil, Japan, Colombia, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Hungary face a unique vehicle rescue scenario. Using next-generation Pentheon rescue tools, they must free a “live patient” from a crashed vehicle within 20 minutes.

The assessors will judge each team not only on the technical use of the tools, but also on key criteria such as medical assessment, patient care and communication at the incident scene.

The goal of the Holmatro Rescue Challenge is to create a safe learning environment for first responders and firefighters. Before the challenge begins, all teams receive instructions on the use of Holmatro rescue equipment and the specific extrication scenario. During the challenge, they are supervised, observed and evaluated by experienced assessors.
