Snatch blocks are often used in recovery operations. They either serve to redirect the rope or to double the winch pulling force during use. Recovery means moving loads that are on the ground up to a slope gradient of 45°.
The double pull halves the force required to move a load. The load is distributed evenly across both rope strands. The snatch block must be attached professionally and with adequately dimensioned slings that correspond to the pulling force of the winch in single or double pull. The loose pulley must not be firmly clamped or restricted in its freedom of movement. The various versions of the snatch blocks from ROTZLER are designed for pulling forces of 200, 300, 400 and 620 kN and the corresponding rope diameters.
The large roller diameter of the loose rollers has a positive effect on the rope service life.
The use of optimized materials has made the new snatch blocks from ROTZLER significantly lighter. The 620 kN snatch block for example weighs 24 kg, the one for 200 kN only 7 kg. This represents a weight reduction of about 45% compared to the previous model and enables quick and easy assembly by one person.
A roller bearing with lifetime lubrication makes the snatch block practically maintenance-free.
Of course, the new snatch blocks can also be integrated into an existing rope system.
