The Integrated Regional Control Center ( IRL ) of the Schaumburg and Nienburg/ Weser districts schedules all fire and rescue service operations in the Schaumburg district.
A rescue control center manages the operations of the assigned organizations, receives and evaluates information and coordinates the connected services.
In terms of rescue services, these are the following coordinative tasks:
Acceptance of an incoming emergency call via 112.
interrogates and records with the computer
Gives first aid instructions until the arrival of the rescue means.
Decision: Which means of intervention are suitable
Alerting
Transmission of the mission orders to the rescue means
Support during the operation (e.g. requesting a rescue helicopter)
Organization of a place in a suitable hospital according to the guiding diagnosis
Documentation of the mission data
The vehicles of the rescue service are all equipped with a GPS system that transmits the position of the rescue vehicle at regular intervals to the master computer of the regional control center. This means that the dispatchers always have information about the current position of the rescue vehicles and can thus alert the rescue vehicle with the shortest travel distance to the scene of the emergency.
The same coordinative tasks are performed by the rescue control center for qualified patient transport under the call number 19222.
