EV Fire Protection is an Australian company focused on addressing the unique fire risks associated with electric vehicles in car parks. Its patented EV FirePro system is a fixed fire suppression solution designed specifically for EV parking bays in enclosed car parks. Unlike traditional overhead systems designed for general fires, EV FirePro targets the characteristics of lithium-ion battery fires by delivering cooling directly to the underside of the vehicle where the battery pack is located. The system automatically activates at 68°C and provides targeted under-vehicle cooling together with lateral water spray to help limit fire spread to adjacent vehicles and building structures. The floor-mounted stainless-steel system integrates with the building fire alarm control panel (FACP) to provide early alerts and support safer intervention for firefighters. EV FirePro helps protect critical infrastructure such as commercial buildings, airports, car parks and EV charging areas.
