A new record result for “REAS 2024”. The number of attendees exceeded more than 30 thousand at the twenty-third edition of the International Emergency Exhibition, which for three days saw the halls of Centro Fiera Montichiari (Brescia) crowded with volunteers and operators from Italy and from 40 other countries around the world. The number of exhibitors was also up, with 271 stands occupied by companies, state bodies and associations from Italy and 18 other countries, in a total exhibition space of over 32 thousand square metres.

“We are truly satisfied with the growth registered at this new edition of the exhibition, which confirms the positive trend of recent years and consolidates the leadership of our event in Italy and also abroad” stated Ezio Zorzi, managing director of Centro Fiera Montichiari. “We intend to immediately build once again on this significant result and concentrate on the organisation of the next edition, already set from October 3rd to 5th 2025, with the aim of further expanding the product range and training courses offered in favour of companies, operators and volunteers from the world of emergency and civil protection.”

“REAS 2024” was attended by the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Nello Musumeci, and the head of the National Department of Civil Protection, Fabio Ciciliano. The 8 halls of the Montichiari exhibition centre showcased the latest technological innovations, such as special vehicles capable of operating in flooded or earthquake-stricken areas, drones and tracked robots designed for searching for the injured, helicopters for medical transport and firefighting missions, new generation technology for river control, ambulances equipped with sophisticated life-saving equipment and communication systems for connecting operational centres and rescuers. Simultaneously, an intense programme of 44 conferences, seminars and collateral events also took place over the three days of the show, offering visitors an important opportunity for training and professional development.

“REAS” is organized by Centro Fiera Montichiari in partnership with Hannover Fairs International GmbH and with “Interschutz”, the leading global specialised exhibition that takes place every five years in Hannover (Germany). “This year we are celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of our partnership with REAS. This exhibition has become an important point of reference for the emergency sector in Italy and also abroad. It is also a chance for Italian and German companies and associations to meet and work together”, commented Andreas Züge, managing director of Hannover Fairs International. “Our partnership with REAS will certainly continue into the future and we are already working on organizing the next edition of 'Interschutz', which will take place from June 1st to 6th 2026 in Hannover”. Also present at "REAS" this year were the German Association for the Promotion of Fire Protection (VFDB) and the German Fire Service Association (DFV).
