Hannover, Germany. Under the heading “heise goes INTERSCHUTZ”, a new event series by the cooperation partners INTERSCHUTZ and Heise Medien GmbH & Co. KG will kick off in January 2025. The cooperation will involve joint talk and networking events in the lead-up to INTERSCHUTZ 2026. These events will focus on overarching industry topics, such as digitalization and AI in civil protection.
“INTERSCHUTZ, held every four years as the world’s leading trade fair for fire services, rescue services, and civil protection in Hanover, Germany, is a very special event. To make the time until the next fair as informative and brief as possible for all INTERSCHUTZ fans, and to report on the trends currently being intensely discussed in the community, we have teamed up with our media partner ‘heise’ in Hanover. As two well-known Hanover brands, we have set ourselves the goal of strengthening the Hanover location and showing its potential with this new event series,” says Bernd Heinold, Project Manager of INTERSCHUTZ at Deutsche Messe AG.
“Whether for climate research, extreme weather early warning systems, or more efficient crisis management: digitalization and AI are key technologies in civil protection as well. We are excited to discuss these developments with IT experts and industry representatives,” says Jörg Mühle, Member of the Management Board at Heise Medien. “As a media company based in Hanover, we also have a great interest in showcasing the innovative strength of our region.”
The premiere of the new event series “heise goes INTERSCHUTZ” is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Hanover exhibition grounds as a half-day afternoon or evening event for 50 to 100 participants. In a total of four presentation slots, experts will provide concrete insights into the topic of “AI, Cybersecurity (and Storage) in Use for Rescue & Security.” The talk format will be complemented by live demonstrations and opportunities for personal exchange during a post-presentation get-together. The target group for the new format focuses on Lower Saxony, specifically municipalities, emergency services representatives, Lower Saxony politicians, and companies from the INTERSCHUTZ industry in the region.
Further information about the program and the opportunity to register for January 21, 2025, will be announced shortly.
