Hannover, Germany. "Transcending Borders" is the title of a symposium being held on 17 and 18 June 2020 at the INTERSCHUTZ exhibition in Hannover. As the world's leading trade fair for the fire and rescue services, civil protection, safety and security, INTERSCHUTZ has announced "Teams, Tactics, Technology – Connecting Protection and Rescue" as its lead theme for 2020. And that's what the two-day civil protection symposium is all about: The first day of the conference will focus on cross-border cooperation in disaster cases, with the spotlight on Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Titled "Extreme Weather Conditions", the second day highlights a topic that is becoming increasingly important in times of climate change, which requires an equally connected approach. The topics covered include snow chaos, forest fires due to droughts and flood disasters. The "Transcending Borders" civil protection symposium is primarily aimed at executives from government organizations and NGOs charged with security tasks as well as from fire brigades and aid organizations.

The number of participants is limited to approximately 300.

Civil protection is playing an increasing overall role at INTERSCHUTZ. From 15 to 20 June 2020, there will be a new focus area for civil protection in Hall 16/17, where doctors, rescue service personnel, fire brigades, technical helpers and other crisis intervention staff as well as volunteers from civil protection aid organizations will find the entire spectrum of civil protection services, including equipment and technical aids such as emergency shelters and tents, electricity, hygiene and sanitation, mobile hospitals and equipment for flood and water protection.

The "Transcending Borders" civil protection symposium is organized by Bonn-based Beta Verlag publishers, in cooperation with INTERSCHUTZ.
