Clear communication in the field
When chemical protective suits (CPS) must be worn during firefighting operations, training sessions, or drills, communication is severely limited due to the restricted range of motion. Team members then rely on radios to communicate with one another, which often requires considerable extra effort to access while wearing the protective suit.
To ensure comfortable voice communication within the team in such situations, pei tel Communications GmbH offers the CEECOACH Professional. The solution was developed specifically for team communication and enables continuous communication without pressing a PTT (Push-to-Talk) button. At the INTERSCHUTZ 2026 trade fair in Hanover, pei tel will present the CEECOACH Professional along with numerous other in-house communication solutions and products from other vendors at Booth A16 in Hall 16.
“Communication is particularly difficult in conditions of poor visibility, high noise levels, and limited mobility. But in firefighting operations, it is precisely in such moments that clear communication is crucial,” says Matthias Peucker, Product Manager at pei tel Communications GmbH. With the CEECOACH Professional, groups of up to 16 people remain reliably connected even under extreme conditions. The device is characterized by its ease of use and protection against environmental influences in accordance with IP67. Its lightweight and compact design ensures that the CEECOACH Professional can be comfortably carried on the body and operated even with limited freedom of movement. It is compatible with standard headsets, headphones, or earbuds with a 3.5-millimeter jack, as well as Bluetooth headsets. The range is up to 700 meters with a clear line of sight.
In addition to the CEECOACH Professional, pei tel will also be presenting the latest installment of its “Communication Saves Lives” campaign at INTERSCHUTZ. As in the previous year, the campaign includes a website at www.kommunikation-rettet-leben.de, regular posts on social media, as well as various contests and interactive activities. In line with the campaign, visitors to the trade show can see for themselves the wide range of products and solutions that ensure clear and reliable communication during an operation.
These include, for example, the rugged PTIntercom intercom system, which provides secure and direct communication between up to four physically separate areas of a vehicle; the LHM600 vehicle mount for the Motorola MXP600, along with the separately available upgrade kit, which allows for tool-free replacement of existing mounting brackets for older MTP850 FuG radios, and the PTCarPhone vehicle phone, which features reliable LTE connectivity, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, and a GPS module for precise real-time vehicle tracking. Visitors can also experience the Smart Battery Sensor live, which monitors the health status of vehicle batteries, reports critical conditions directly via email, and thus prevents the breakdown of emergency vehicles.
As a certified Motorola Solutions distributor, pei tel will also be showcasing a wide range of professional radio technology for fire and rescue services from the American manufacturer at INTERSCHUTZ 2026. A highlight of the exhibition is the Motorola Solutions body cameras, which record every operation and integrate seamlessly into existing workflows. Thanks to the user-friendly VideoManager backend software, configuration and maintenance can be performed as needed with minimal training and without interruptions.
“We have significantly expanded our portfolio once again in recent years. At the trade show, we are therefore offering fire and rescue services everything they need for modern communication—from consulting on individual products to complete solutions,” explains Steven Hilgemann, Category Manager PMR and TETRA/BOS at pei tel.
