Versatile and compact
BAI Brescia Antincendi International S.r.l. has created the TLF 2000 4×4, a tank firefighting vehicle that stands out for its robust versatility. Mounted on a fully powered Unimog chassis, this vehicle offers traction and off-road capability as well as other features that are indispensable in difficult operating conditions such as forest floors, mountainous regions, or narrow old town streets. Thanks to its compact dimensions—with a length of only about 6.10 meters and high ground clearance—it remains maneuverable without compromising on firefighting performance.
At the heart of the vehicle is a polypropylene water tank with a capacity of 2000 liters, combined with a Hale Godiva KP2A centrifugal fire pump, which can deliver up to 2000 liters per minute at 10 bar. A special feature is the “pump-and-roll” capability, which allows extinguishing while driving – a clear advantage when operating in rough terrain. In addition, the vehicle has a high-speed front monitor that can be operated directly from the cab via a joystick, allowing targeted extinguishing even while moving.
The equipment of the TLF 2000 4×4 proves that BAI also pays attention to small but important details: the basic equipment includes an electric winch, a rear view camera, and ambient lighting. Safety-related components such as lockable equipment boxes and robust light metal roller shutters also ensure practical and long-term use. The vehicle can be optionally equipped with a foam tank, which significantly expands its range of applications.
BAI is targeting both Italian and international fire departments with this vehicle, and the model is designed to meet standards such as German DIN requirements. This makes the TLF 2000 4×4 attractive not only for national but also for cross-border operations. Due to its high articulation capability and compact design, it is ideal for conditions where other tank firefighting vehicles would fail due to their size.
