BOS Cam: Modular Camera Ecosystem

The highlight of the exhibition at INTERSCHUTZ 2026 in Hanover is the enhanced BOS Cam camera family, which will be unveiled in its third generation at the trade show. The system is designed as a comprehensive camera ecosystem with various hardware variants for specific operational scenarios. These include, among others, explosion-proof cameras for hazardous environments, compact bodycams for response teams, and flexibly mountable solutions for turntable ladders. The portfolio is complemented by cameras for command and staff operations as well as for training purposes.

All cameras are capable of transmitting image data wirelessly, making it immediately available for evaluation and situational assessment. Data processing is handled by a locally operated base station, which manages the storage, administration, and analysis of the image information.

Flexible System Architecture for Mobile Use

The BOS base station can be operated in various ways. One option involves permanent integration into emergency vehicles, turning them into central hubs of the communication network. Thanks to built-in LTE and GPS modules, the system can operate both independently and as part of a network. Alternatively, a mobile solution is available in the form of a rugged outdoor case that can be flexibly positioned—including the tablet—and offers particular advantages in dynamic operational situations.

In addition, selected data can be transferred to cloud environments to enable location-independent analysis or the involvement of external consultants.

Greater Transparency and Efficiency in the Field

The BOS Cam camera family is designed to improve situational awareness both on-site and remotely. The ability to share and annotate image data facilitates collaboration between emergency responders and external experts. Features such as live streaming from secure locations, comprehensive incident documentation with time and metadata, and the simultaneous use of multiple cameras help increase transparency and efficiency in complex operational scenarios.
