Visitors will gain valuable insights into the work and structures of leading fire, rescue and civil protection organizations from Australia and Italy.
Partner Country Day Australia | June 2, 2026
On Tuesday afternoon, June 2, the INTERSCHUTZ Forum will focus on Australia and its professional approach to bushfires and climate-related natural disasters. The event is organized by AFAC – the Australian and New Zealand Council for Fire and Emergency Services.
Members of the Australian delegation and leading experts, such as Jeremy Fewtrell, Commissioner Fire and Rescue New South Wales and Jason Heffernan, Chief Officer of the Country Fire Authority, Victoria, will provide insights into current challenges and innovative solutions in the fire and rescue services sector. Topics will include modern wildfire suppression strategies, international cooperation and experiences from large-scale disaster response operations.
Partner Country Day Italy | June 3, 2026
On Wednesday, June 3, Italy will present one of the world’s most advanced civil protection systems. Due to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods and wildfires, Italy is among the European countries most affected by natural disasters. This has led to the development of a highly sophisticated crisis management system supported by more than 750,000 registered volunteers and over 35,000 organizations.
In addition to demonstrations and live simulations during the morning, visitors can look forward to a high-level conference program at the INTERSCHUTZ Forum from 3:00 p.m. onwards. Experts such as Andrea Giovannoni, Head of the Emergency Centres and Logistics Operational Unit and Edoardo Cavalieri d'Oro, Head of the NBCR Unit - Nuclear, Biological, Chemical and Radiological will discuss operational command, logistics and response strategies for nuclear, biological and chemical incidents. Italian exhibitors will also showcase their innovations and solutions in three national pavilions across the exhibition grounds.
