The ideal choice when every pound counts
With the FOX S, Rosenbauer has once again filled a gap in its already extensive portfolio. Smaller and more maneuverable than the large FOX, the FOX S offers the same high-end qualities and functions as its big sister.
“The FOX S is the ideal choice when every kilogram counts, but all the functions of a FOX are important. It impresses with the robust technology that fire departments worldwide appreciate in our products,” says Roland Weber, Product Manager at Rosenbauer.
Highly effective, maintenance-free, and user-friendly
The FOX S features a single-stage centrifugal pump that was specially developed for this application. Its impeller with spatially curved blades in a spiral casing made of light metal guarantees a very high degree of efficiency. A stainless steel pump shaft, a lubricant- and maintenance-free mechanical seal, and the pump's clamping ring design make the FOX S easy to maintain.
Intuitive user interface
The FOX S is also easy to operate – a single push of a button starts the portable pump. The intuitive user interface of the Rosenbauer Logic Control System (RBC LCS) provides all status information and keeps you informed about the current operating status. The optional integrated cavitation warning and inlet pressure monitoring prevent damage to the pump.
In addition, a mechanical system protects against overheating: when the water temperature reaches around 60 degrees Celsius, warm water is drained and cooler water can flow in.
Powerful performance, safe handling
The FOX S is powered by a 2-cylinder in-line engine from BRP-Rotax with electronic engine control. The water-cooled unit, developed and manufactured in Austria, is designed for use in both extremely hot and very cold countries with a wide range of environmental conditions. A 20-liter fuel tank ensures good endurance. According to Rosenbauer, the unique, certified refueling system allows for non-stop use.
Extensive equipment
Rubberized handles, each long enough for two hands and foldable, ensure safe carrying. Quick-mount wheels allow transport by just one person. The carrying frame can be equipped with lighting, which ensures good lighting conditions on the way to the water extraction point, even at night. The FOX S can be controlled from a vehicle via an additional control unit, enabling pump-and-roll operation or use in a swap body structure.
Suction height of three meters
With the new compact FOX S and the large FOX, Rosenbauer customers now have two portable pumps with a uniform operating concept and options at their disposal. The FOX family complies with the standard points PFPN 10-1000, 10-1500, and 10-2000.
The large FOX remains the most successful portable fire pump according to EN 14466 and has already proven itself many times over in the toughest firefighting operations around the world. According to Rosenbauer, its delivery rate of 2,050 liters per minute at ten bar and a suction height of three meters makes it the most powerful FOX ever and the most efficient portable fire pump in its class.
Well above requirements
The BEAVER was also redesigned in 2025 and is now more powerful thanks to a new engine. With redesigned controls and carrying handles that can be rotated and folded in two directions, it is even easier and more ergonomic to handle. With a powerful combination of low weight, extremely compact dimensions, and high performance, it is a real powerhouse at 133 kilograms.
As a portable fire pump in the PFPN 10-750 performance category, its rated output of over 900 liters per minute at ten bar and three meters suction height significantly exceeds the requirements for this class.
Lightweight at 58 kilograms
Rosenbauer's portable pump portfolio is perfectly complemented by the OTTER – a popular entry-level model that weighs in at a lightweight 58 kilograms and offers great maneuverability in use. "BEAVER and OTTER impress with their exceptional ease of operation and maintenance.
They can be transported to the scene with minimal effort and provide firefighting crews with a reliable and continuous supply of water," says Product Manager Roland Weber. The new FOX S can be ordered from Rosenbauer now. Depending on order intake, the first units will be delivered at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
