The latest meeting of the INTERSCHUTZ advisory board focused on the current status of preparations, the site and event concept, as well as accompanying events and key figures.

In light of current societal and geopolitical challenges, the topic of civil protection is becoming even more important. As a result, this area will feature much more prominently and visibly at INTERSCHUTZ 2026 – both in terms of content and in the exhibition and event program.

With its work, the advisory board plays a key role in shaping the event’s thematic direction and driving its strategic development. In a joint statement, the members emphasized the importance of a united approach:

“As the advisory board of INTERSCHUTZ 2026, we are united in our view: The challenges in civil protection are increasing worldwide – whether due to natural disasters, technological risks or geopolitical developments. Meeting these challenges requires close cooperation between fire services, rescue organizations, government agencies, the armed forces in the field of civil-military cooperation (CIMIC), as well as the business and research communities. Only through strong collaboration among all stakeholders can we effectively protect people and their livelihoods – now and in the future. That is what we stand for. Every day.”

The visit concluded with a tour of the Fire and Rescue Station.
