How night becomes day
At EUROPEAN ROTORS in Cologne – The VTOL Show and Safety Conference, the entire rotary wing industry comes together to expand its business and discuss the safety and sustainability of rotary wing aircraft. Within this framework, ADAC Air Rescue has now unveiled the latest generation of night vision goggles, which are already in use at some stations.
The devices have a particularly large field of view, are more light-sensitive, are more comfortable to wear, and are secured by a dual power supply system. The use of these state-of-the-art goggles is intended to make ADAC Air Rescue in Germany even more efficient in the field of NVGs (night vision goggles). This should ensure faster and safer patient care even in adverse weather conditions, in the dark, and in rough terrain.
The FENN NG800 night vision goggles replace the previous F4949 generation. They were specially developed for use in extreme lighting conditions and are compatible with the latest generation of air rescue helmets.
“For us, technology is not an end in itself, but a means of improving care,” emphasized Frédéric Bruder, CEO of ADAC Air Rescue. “We focus on meaningful and purposeful innovation to make air rescue in Germany more efficient, safer, and more sustainable. The new night vision goggles are another step in this direction.”
