We owe the progressive development of modern humanity to two major factors – increased intelligence and the immense opportunities opened up by the anatomical design of our hands. For professionals involved in hazardous fire and rescue operations on a day-to-day basis, protecting these crucial tools of nature is a major challenge – and one that SEIZ Technical Gloves GmbH has taken on with enthusiasm. The Swabia-based company is joining scientists from the Hohenstein Institute at INTERSCHUTZ 2015 in Hannover to measure trade fair visitors’ hands and demonstrate how this data can be used to create the perfect, customized protective glove.

The measurement data generated by the state-of-the-art 3D scanner technology on show plays a key role in the customization process, but the Extrication glove from SEIZ goes even further. Fire departments and rescue services can also incorporate their own creative ideas and preferences into the design. After all, the glove is made up of a range of different elements and virtually all of them can be tailored to specific requirements. There are a dozen colors to choose from that can be used together in a range of combinations, while individual logos and images can now also be integrated into the design. The extensive array of options available makes each and every glove a truly unique specimen.
