Bronto Skylift from Tampere, Finland, has teamed up with Swiss company Rohr AG and Designwerk Technologies AG, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group and Swiss pioneer in the field of electromobility, to develop a lifting platform on a modern, fully electric truck chassis. This innovative solution combines the proven reliability and performance of Bronto aerial platforms with the advantages of an emission-free, quiet drive.
The new concept is based on Bronto Skylift's proven S-XR series. The S56XR is a well-known and popular tool for professionals around the world who work at height. The aerial platform's software has been modified to accommodate an electric power take-off, saving energy during operation for longer working hours and keeping operators informed of the battery's charge status at all times.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our customers an environmentally friendly alternative without compromising on performance. This is an important step toward a more sustainable future for the industry. Rohr AG's initiative was instrumental in the development of this product, and we would like to thank Designwerk for their successful collaboration,” explains Dominik Keller, Global Access Segment Director, Bronto Skylift.
