Is a colleague in distress? How much air do they have left? Where are they right now? Effective and reliable communication is an essential component of every operation—before, during, and after. Only then can rescue workers concentrate fully on their work without losing time and important information.

Clear and reliable voice communication is particularly crucial when using respiratory protection: it reduces misunderstandings between emergency personnel, increases safety, and ensures a faster, more efficient operation.

Specially developed for the requirements of respiratory protection use

The FPS-Com Voice communication unit integrated into the mask from Dräger was specially developed for the requirements of respiratory protection use. It improves both voice recording and output. The microphone and earpiece are integrated into the unit's housing, ensuring that the microphone is always optimally positioned for voice recording. This is designed to reduce sources of interference and prevent accidental snagging. The communication unit is compatible with all versions of the FPS 7000 full-face respirator.

Easy to use and clean

To start using the communication unit, users simply connect the kink-resistant cable of the FPS-Com Voice to the handset. Operation and volume control are then carried out via the handset or directly via the radio.

The Click & Go system allows for quick switching between emergency personnel. The communication unit is available in two versions – for the left or right ear. However, it can also be used on both sides. The communication unit can be cleaned separately from the mask.

Robust and maintenance-free

When used in conjunction with the FPS 7000 full-face respirator, the FPS-Com Voice is flame-resistant and protected against water vapor, dust, and water jets. The IP65- and IP67-certified unit is also protected against temporary submersion. In addition, the FPS-Com Voice is also approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. As it does not have its own battery, there is no need for charging or checking. Power is supplied via the radio device.
