In June 2026, the Rescue Robotics Days will make their debut at INTERSCHUTZ. Visitors will gain exclusive insights into the latest developments in rescue robotics through expert presentations, live demonstrations, and international discussions with specialists.
Experience Innovation in Civil Protection Live
The Deutsches Rettungsrobotik-Zentrum (German Rescue Robotics Center), short DRZ, organizes the Robotics Days. Since its founding in 2018, the DRZ has been developing practical solutions for the deployment of rescue robots in collaboration with partners from science, technology, and operational practice.
At the DRZ Living Lab, technologies are tested under realistic conditions and continuously refined. Their effectiveness has already been demonstrated in large-scale exercises and real-world operations – such as during the 2021 flood disaster in the Ahr Valley (Germany), in CBRN incidents, and major fires.
At the upcoming INTERSCHUTZ, visitors will experience firsthand the key role that rescue robots could play in future civil protection. The program features both a professional forum and a large outdoor demonstration area.
The Program
At the DRZ stand in Hall 17, the Civil Protection Robotics Forum offers a platform for international exchange. Experts from science, industry, and professional associations discuss current developments, present new technologies, and provide valuable insights into the operational use of rescue robots in civil protection. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with experts and discover the latest trends.
Another highlight is the USAR and Robotics Demo Area outdoors. Here, robotic systems are showcased under realistic conditions – from ground-based systems to underwater applications and complex operational scenarios. USAR stands for Urban Search and Rescue. Visitors will see live demonstrations of how modern robotics supports rescue teams and opens new possibilities for civil protection.
