From June 1 to 6, 2026, action and adrenaline will be on offer on all days of the trade fair

Monday and Tuesday can be used by first-time starters and ambitious athletes alike as training days on the competition course, while Wednesday and Thursday will see qualifying runs for the European Championships, where the fastest firefighters in Europe will battle it out for the title in the final on Friday and Saturday.

On the training days, the FireFit course on the outdoor exhibition grounds will be open to all interested firefighters from 10 am to 4 pm. Training slots can be booked online in advance. If available, spontaneous sessions can also be booked on site.

From Wednesday to Saturday, the competitions will take place from 9 am to 5 pm. After the last run, the day's winners will be crowned each day.

Something for every fitness level

You can compete individually, in tandem or in a relay with three to five members. The relay is a great way for sporty people to get into firefighting. Team spirit is required here and the cheers are loud. The breathing apparatus is worn "loosely" on the back - there is no mask or breathing air connection. The individual run is regarded as the supreme discipline because it really demands everything from the starter while wearing breathing protection.

These are the stations in the competition

  • Stair run up the HAIX Tower (three floors, twelve meters high) with a 19kg hose package over the shoulder
  • Pull up 19 kg hose package and run down the stairs
  • Hammering machine
  • Slalom course and hose pull with extinguishing attack
  • Simulation of a human rescue with 80kg dummy
  • We are delighted

The organizing team of FireFit consists of the Betriebssportverband (BSV) Hannover e.V. and the company HAIX. Further information can be found here .
