Since developing OCTOPUS airbag protection in the mid-1990s – a world first – ELN Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Dortmund has been established as a solutions provider for fundamental issues in the fire and rescue technology sector. The company portfolio now covers a very broad range of high-quality rescue products, with the safety of victims and emergency workers always the top priority. At INTERSCHUTZ 2015, ELN will be focusing on offering protection against nosy onlookers who often hamper the work of the emergency services. In the future, a mobile screen will help to prevent this problem.

The newly developed screen is designed primarily to shield incident scenes in order to eliminate or at least minimize any further accident risks. In addition, it helps to protect the privacy of those involved in the accident. The screen is also a quick and effective way of blocking the view of crime scenes. To ensure the screen remains stable in windy conditions, PVC tanks with a capacity of 60 liters are filled with water or sand and attached to the base. Two people can set up the screen in no more than two minutes, but it can also be erected easily by just a single person.
