The authorities and organisations responsible for security in Germany (Behörden und Organisationen mit Sicherheitsaufgaben - BOS) also combine the radio supply to tactically important buildings and structures (properties) with a standard, nationwide, digital voice and data transmission radio system (Digitalfunk BOS in compliance with international TETRA standards). In many properties, there is already an internal supply within the building from the free field radio supply.Depending on the nature of the building (reinforced concrete, metallised windows) and distance from the base station (basements, underground car parks), the supply from outside will cover only part of the building. The property supply required for this is provided by Schnoor Industrieelektronik.The indoor coverage radio installations are conceptually developed in co-operation with BDBOS, the local state centres for digital radio (authorised centres) and the fire services. The BDBOS guidelines for the planning and realisation of property supplies serve as the basis.The Schnoor indoor coverage radio systems for digital radio in accordance with the TETRA standard comprise one TMO repeater and/or several DMO repeaters housed in the same cabinet. With a battery-backed power supply, functionality is ensured even in the case of a main power failure. The cabinet is compliant with the current fire service guidelines.An aerial system with uncovered aerials and a beaming high-frequency cable ensures comprehensive accessibility.Through openings in the outer cable, this flame-resistant, halogen-free coaxial cable connects the electromagnetic waves into the building. A ring main with two-way feed ensures that only this specific point fails even in the case of a cable breakage.The DMO repeaters can be activated via the fire service control panel if required, whereas the TMO repeater is functional at all times. This also allows other organisations using the BOS network to send radio transmissions.
