Low pressure fire fight around 10 bar/140 psi is worldwide standard since it allows to branch hoses out to power a fire squad and a securing squad simultaneously as prescribed when operating in housing and endangered areas. High pressure in most cases is more effective and moreover can minimize water damages and contaminations, but sofar there had not been sufficiently strong systems powering two squads simultaneously. To close this gap, AUTRONIC-Hydrotechnik GmbH, D-22339 Hamburg therefore manufactures a full range of high pressure hydraulic transformers, covering the main areas of fire fighting around 40, 80, 160 and 320 bar (570, 1140, 2280 and 4600 psi) and flows from 20 to 200 litres per minute (5.3 to 53 GpM) to supply two squads simultaneously. Everybody therefore can select the individually desired pressure and flow, and it is possible to combine various pressure ranges to optimize fire extinguishing effects. The hydraulic transformers need a hydraulic power supply as of utility trucks, tractors etc. When such is installed in mini or micro passenger cars, these will become powerful but still low-priced fire fighting vehicles allowing to equip small communities which sofar had no real fire prevention or just had portable fire pumps etc. A multitude of hydraulic transformers can be assembled on oil supply and return booms to avoid confusing hose arrangements. Of course chemicals can be added to produce foam or allow very effective high pressure cleaning e.g. after oil accidents.
Power Packs energizing rescue tools sofar supplied only limited hydraulic power, thereby being forced to operate in two steps of e.g. 180 bar/2,500 psi or 720 bar/10,000 ...
