This is why the multifunctional CT-MultiCom65 from CeoTronics is more than just a handheld microphone, and offers many additional connection options. This remote unit is a sophisticated communication instrument and can be used in a highly versatile way: in addition to a 3.5mm plug socket to connect to a CT earphone or sound tube, users can also connect a variety of professional CT headset systems via the heavy-duty NEXUS jack plug socket.
The jack itself is fitted to the underside, which offers the benefit that water, for instance, simply passes by the jack and cannot run inside. The black PTT button (optional in color orange) covers almost 50% of the surface.
It can is conveniently be activate while wearing heavy-duty gloves or with the elbow, and can also be easily activated even under clothing. Also the emergency button placed on the upper side can be reliably pressed - even with a glove. CT-MultiCom65 offers two soft-key buttons: One is the volume control, the other one serves as a mute button for the integrated loudspeaker in case a communication system is connected.
The CT-MultiCom65 can be attached to clothing using the robust pivot clip on the rear of the device. Even the standard version of the CT-MultiCom65 offers a high protection class (according to EN 60529) of IP65 (dust and hose proof). This makes this remote unit ideal for fire brigades.
The CT-MultiCom65 can also be supplied as an ATEX model, offering a protection class of II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4 (to 94/9/EC).
Also depending on the radio other applications include channel switching between TMO and DMO mode available (switch between trunking and direct mode). A bicolor LED gives a visual feedback to indicate all functional settings.
