Dräger FTS 8000 – Mobile fire training system for realistic scenarios
Dräger has developed a live fire training concept which is designed to prepare breathing apparatus wearers for indoor firefighting thanks to its step-by-step training program with elements that build on each other. Comprehensive modules have been developed that offer additional training options to firefighters to supplement their basic training to prepare them for advanced indoor (structural) firefighting.
For the first time, the new live fire training system Dräger FTS 8000 has been designed based on the training requirements – and not the other way around.
This mobile system not only combines the benefits of a wood fire with the benefits of classic gas fires, it also integrates a liquid gas fire (LPG). In addition to the previous options, this LPG fire also offers realistic nozzle training.
The combination of wood, gas and liquid gas fires as well as the complex spatial geometry of the Dräger FTS 8000 offers realistic live fire fighting training with training scenarios that build on each other. Four modules provide theoretical and practical training in fire progression, proper handling of the nozzle and indoor fire fighting.
Further information on the training concept and the system is available during Interschutz at the Dräger booth G58 in hall 27 and in the outside area at booth C12, where practical presentations take place regularly.
The FTS 8000 is manufactured by Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA
