New firefighter helmet Dräger HPS 4500

Lübeck – The Dräger HPS 4500 is a traditional half-shell helmet with a modern design. As successor of the trusted HPS 4300, it provides - thanks to its robust outer shell - the wearer protection against impact and high temperatures. With its comprehensive accessories, this helmet is an all-rounder.

The outer shell, pressed in a special procedure (SMC), consists of high-temperature resistant Duroplast with state-of-the-art aramid textile, which makes the HPS 4500 extremely sturdy. At the same time, it is one of the lightest helmets of its class, which meets the requirements of EN 443:2008 – type A. The anti-scratch coated visor made of thermally high-resistant polysulfone reaches down to the chin area and is approved as face protector according to EN 14458.

High wearing comfort, easy handling

The wearer can individually adjust the 4-point harness of the HPS 4500 using a simple tensioning system in the neck and temple area. The adjusting wheel to adjust the helmet's fit can be easily operated, even when wearing thick gloves. The integrated hair net is used for height adjustment and also ensures a comfortable climate inside the helmet. The harness made of fire-proof Nomex[1]-aramid textile and the sweatband made of eco-leather can be washed using commercial detergents.

Comprehensive accessories

We provide comprehensive accessories for various applications of the HPS 4500, such as fire fighting and technical assistance. Numerous versions of neck guards, face and eye protectors, as well as helmet lamps or communication systems, can quickly and easily be attached to the helmet.

Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA is the manufacturer of the HPS 4500.
