The demands placed on multifunctional hazard clothing these days go beyond the need for reliable protection against heat, flames, faulty electric arcs, welding beads, wind and harsh weather. More than ever, maximum visibility is a must day and night, along with comfort and appealing design. Trans-Textil GmbH from Freilassing near Munich has recently developed a new generation of printed laminates that combine the safety properties of highly flame-resistant, multifunctional textiles with transfer printing technology.
The products it has on show at INTERSCHUTZ 2015 provide maximum protection against a wide range of hazards and yet also offer plenty of choice in terms of color and design. Furthermore, various tests have shown that the essential characteristics of these new laminates – such as protective properties, breathability, grip, comfort and thermophysiological properties – are in no way affected by the transfer printing process. There were no differences whatsoever between the plain fabric and printed samples when tested to ISO 15025 standard.
