The MGS series, Micro Gamma-ray Spectrometers, is a fully integrated instrument based on a CdZnTe (CZT) crystal operated at room temperature. This technology allows performing radio-elements efficient identification. This device is designed for area monitoring such as Homeland Security, radioprotection and CBRNE risks. Its all integrated electronic modules and wide spectrum of available connectivities, makes its integration practical to any already existing systems. Its wireless options make it usable as an autonomous device.- Under French Atomic Energy Commission and Alternative Energies licensing (CEA).- Qualified according to standards EN 60 846 (CEI, CE, CEM, ISO).- Gamma and X-rays fast remote measurement and data storage device.- Built-in smart electronics and user-friendly embedded communication protocols.- Various communication protocols: USB, RS485 (and modbus), Ethernet (PoE) and Wireless such as Wifi or Bluetooth.- A user-friendly interface to easily tune the device.- High spectral resolution.- A wide energy range measurement with a CdZnTe crystal for radio-isotope identification.- Ultra miniature, compact device about L 64 mm × w 25 mm × h 15 mm (L 2.5 in × w 1.0 in × h 0.6 in)- Very light (50 g) (0.11 lb) and robust electronics.- Room temperature operated CdZnTe solid state detector.- Autonomous device including all key components, used either as stand-alone or networked units.- Adaptable to any existing customer terminal, display & network. - Efficient Gamma and X-rays energy spectra measurements.- CdZnTe quasi-hemispherical crystal, 60 mm3 or 500 mm3.- Wide energy measurement range 20 keV to 3 MeV.- 1024 to 4096 channels available.- Energy resolution < 2.5 % FWHM @662 keV (137Cs)- Operates from 0°C to +40°C (32°F to +140°F).- Anodized Aluminum Probe housing easy to decontaminate.- Water & Dust proof IP54 compliant.- Ultra small rugged form factor.
