GfS Day Alarm - new family members availableIn retail business, shop lifting and shrinkage cause significant losses worth several billion Euros per year. Major security breaches are unlocked emergency exits, which are often abused by employees and customers. It is thus essential to secure emergency exits without obstructing their general function. The GfS Day Alarm is easy to install and offers a complete set of functionalities. By opening the door a visual and acoustic alarm is triggered, which can be reset by an authorized person with a key. With the same key the GfS Day Alarm can be deactivated once or for a longer period of time. Alternatively an external access control system or timer might be used. A door-too-long-open-alarm sounds when the door has been left open for a predefined period of time. A sign "Emergency Exit alarm secured" indicates that by opening the emergency exit an alarm will be triggered. The device is characterized by its well designed metal housing with an anodized finishing. With the supplied AC plug and an optional radio reed contact the GfS Day Alarm is ready for use. No wiring has to be done. This is a big advantage compared to electrical locking systems, which cause significant installation costs. In case that more than one door has to be secured, the GfS Day Alarm can be addressed by multiple reed contacts. In order to meet the different customer needs, GfS has developed a selection of 4 different GfS Day Alarms: For the price sensitive customer a battery-powered "low-cost" version with cable reed contact (but no flash-light) is available. For customers who are concerned that any person passing by might unplug the GfS Day Alarm a version with an integrated power supply has been created. The newest member of the GfS Day Alarm family is a solid, compact and elegant made out of stainless steel. It meets the highest requirements of the most demanding customers.
