The state of the art Fire Training facility at Leipzig/Halle Airport was opened in 2010. It is currently the only site in Germany to have a gas-fired Boeing 747 fire simulator to train firefighters in coping with emergency situations on aircraft. The centre provides a whole range of theoretical and practical Training courses, which can either be booked as a package or individually.
