Mobile flood barrier research project

The Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Munich University of Applied Sciences and various industry partners are currently engaged in a German government-backed research project to optimize water-filled tubing walls for use as mobile flood barriers. Their research will be on show at Stand C47 in Hall 1. The project calls for a solution that is safe and reliable, fast and simple to deploy and dismantle, and conserves resources by using recycled recyclable materials (such as truck tarpaulins).
