Training for Hazchem Incidents

Accidents involving hazardous materials necessitate swift, "surgical" responses by highly skilled professionals. Emergency personnel can train for these events thanks to a hi-tech hazardous materials training facility developed by AISCO in close collaboration with the Essen Fire Department. The mobile facility, the only one of its kind in Europe, enables emergency crews to train for a wide range of hazardous materials accident and industrial fire scenarios under very realistic conditions. The scenarios that can be practiced include collecting leaked hazardous substances and sealing off the leaks, controlling and containing noxious gases and fumes, responding to tank explosions and carrying out rescues. The training exercises will be demonstrated live at INTERSCHUTZ by Essen Fire Department crews.
