Network of Female Fire-fighters

Next year, the German Network of Female Firefighters (Netzwerk Feuerwehrfrauen) will have a presence at INTERSCHUTZ for the first time. The display will center around sharing knowledge and experience and will explore a different theme each day of the fair. There will be workshops and presentations on themes such as Volunteer Firefighting, Professional Firefighting, Europe, and Women in Leadership Positions.

All events by the German Network of Female Firefighters (Netzwerk Feuerwehrfrauen) take place at the CCL - Room 14/15 from 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

8 June 2010 - Firewomen of the World:
An overview of firewomen in Germany and other countries will be given by female firefighters from Germany, Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and South Korea, including a report on international events staged by the Firewomen's Network (Netzwerk Feuerwehrfrauen).

10 June 2010 - Network Day:
On Thursday the General Meeting of the Firewomen’s Network (Netzwerk Feuerwehrfrauen) takes place.

11 June 2010 - Professional Firewomen:
This information event offers an overview of the various career paths for women in the professional fire brigades, including tips on how to apply and how to prepare for qualifying tests.

12 June 2010 - Women in Volunteer Fire Brigades:
The last day of INTERSCHUTZ is devoted to topics involving the recruitment of new members and young people, the demographic shift but also the retention of female members. This event is organized jointly with female members of DFV.
