Germany's Firefighters' Convention is the No. 1 event for the Federal Republic's fire services

The German Firefighters' Convention is held once every 10 years. Staging it in conjunction with INTERSCHUTZ is expected to attract 100,000 local and international trade visitors!

From 7 to 12 June 2010, numerous standalone events, centered on the themes of Young People, Social Engagement and pan-European Cooperation, will point the way to the future.

German Firefighters' Convention 2010 will have a lasting impact in terms of

strengthening social engagement
youth work in its many forms
integrating women and other underrepresented target groups into fire service organizations
spawning innovative solutions for effective fire protection and disaster management systems that reflect demographic developments and the latest trends in civil society and budget optimization
strengthening civilian self-help capabilities
improving pan-European cooperation of non-police emergency management services, focusing in particular on central European nations.
