The public sector and emergency relief organizations have reached the limits of their capacities. Above all transnational civil defense and disaster relief services need to chart a new course. This is true on the one hand of the need to employ state-of-the-art technology, for example, rescue robots and drones. And on the other it is true of the need to streamline and improve existing networks and crisis management coordination between the various international disaster relief organizations. INTERSCHUTZ 2010 will consistently expand its focus on this topic both at exhibitors' stands and in its supporting program, which already includes an EU seminar on "Emergency Management".
